HISTORY OF PIEDMONT
Piedmont Communications Co, Inc. is a woman-owned, small business that began on Oct. 31st 1952 by the late Sexton Wall and Barbara Wall, his wife. Piedmont was the 1st Motorola Service Shop in Eastern North Carolina and is constantly one of the top Motorola Two-Way Radio Dealers in sales for North and South Carolina since the dealer program was introduced in 1988.
Erin Wall, who returned to Piedmont when his father passed away, is President and has been at the helm for 10 years. Melanie Brooks is Piedmont’s Vice-President and is the Durham Office Manager.
Piedmont is divided into 4 divisions, Wireless Equipment Service, Wireless Equipment Sales, Installation, and Tower. Charles Suggs, General Manger and 24-year employee of the company heads the Wireless Equipment Service Division up. Dan Christie, Government Sales Manager and 14 year employee of Piedmont runs the Wireless Sales Division. Chris Coats, Commercial Sales & Installation Manager and 28 year employee of the company runs the Installation Division.
Piedmont has a fully staffed installation division with experience in installation of all types of vehicles – law enforcement packages, EMS packages, mobile data and GPS tracking to name a few.
Piedmont has a fully staffed service division with technicians experienced in all fields of communications equipment including mobiles, portables, fixed station equipment, consoles wireless data and infrastructure equipment. |
